Wicker Man Studios is an independent creative studio producing original novels, comics and graphic novels. My path there began with an internship at Lucha Comics, which led to this opportunity.
For independent publishers, releasing a book is only part of the challenge. Without a major publisher’s promotional infrastructure, authors compete for attention across media, online communities and a crowded digital marketplace. The work had to create awareness for new releases and communicate what made each story distinctive, while keeping one consistent brand voice.

Researched and pitched publications, blogs and podcasts for features, interviews and reviews, securing selected coverage.
Created press kits and interviewed authors to develop launch stories and promotional angles.
Identified and pitched relevant Bookstagram and BookTok creators and reviewers, prioritizing fit over raw reach.
Managed Instagram, Facebook and X, and supported paid social to boost new releases.
Handled sensitive public responses with care to protect the studio’s relationship with its community.

“We worked with Sriya earlier this year in strategies to try to get us more exposure to potential readers. A lot of it involved working on reaching people through social media, but there was also lots of research and other things… You should reach out to Sriya and talk to her about your marketing needs.”
★★★★★
“Sriya is a dedicated, hard working professional who made a big difference in the next phase of our business growth. A+”
